Let me hear of your unfailing love to me in the morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I have come to you in prayer. (NLT)
Consider: Do I trust the Lord enough to follow the path He has for me or do I try to follow my own path, without listening to His guidance?

You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what He said. (NLT)
Consider: These words were spoken to Mary – could they be spoken to me?

I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples. With your mighty arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. The waters saw you, O God, the waters saw you and writhed; the very depths were convulsed. The clouds poured down water, the skies resounded with thunder; your arrows flashed back and forth. Your thunder was heard in the whirlwind, your lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked. Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen. You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron. (NIV)
Consider: When you feel like you have lost all hope and you have no place to turn, remember what the Lord has done in the past. Remember that He is faithful. Remember how He led the people through the Red Sea when there appeared to be no way out. If you are facing an obstacle and you see no way around it, perhaps the Lord will lead you through it instead.

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. (NIV)
Consider: When doubts arise, we have a tendency to throw away our confidence and give up. Instead of throwing our confidence away, we must choose to hold even tighter to our confidence – that’s when we need it the most.

Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (NKJV)
Consider: Is there anything I need that God can’t provide? And even better, He’s happy to provide it! When we thank God for all the blessings He gives, can’t you just hear Him say, “It’s my pleasure.”

The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. (NIV)
Consider: It’s great to know that if God calls you to something, He will go with you until it is finished.

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. (NIV)
Consider: Do I invest my hope in the uncertain wealth of the world or in God who can provide anything?

“Am I only a God nearby,” declares the LORD, “and not a God far away?” (NIV)
Consider: No matter where we go, we can know that God is there.

The LORD is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life — of whom shall I be afraid? (NIV)
Consider: A stronghold is “a place of refuge.” Is the Lord my stronghold?
