Revelation 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (NIV)

Consider: From begining to end, He is the Lord.

Psalms 84:11

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. (KJV)

Consider: God shows us the way and protects us as we go. I can trust that whatever God provides is the “good thing.”

Joshua 1:9

[God says,] “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (NIV)

Consider: It’s so easy for us to become discouraged when we take our eyes off of what God is doing. Remember that He hasn’t abandoned you!

Ezekiel 18:30

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each according to his conduct,” declares the Lord GOD. “Repent and turn away from all your transgressions, so that iniquity may not become a stumbling block to you.” (NASB)

Consider: The Lord makes a great point – it is up to us to turn away from our sin. He doesn’t force us away from it. What stumbling blocks do I need to turn away from?

Psalms 147:4

He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. (KJV)

Consider: He knows all the stars in the universe. He knows how many hairs are on our heads. He calls us “Friend.”

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (KJV)

Consider: Am I patient enough to “wait” on the Lord to renew my strength or do I try to renew it myself?

Psalms 90:2

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. (NIV)

Consider: God is so vast and so amazing, yet He wants to have a relationship with you and me.

3 John 1:11

Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God. (NKJV)

Consider: Who do I imitate?

Luke 1:38

Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant, and I am willing to accept whatever he wants. May everything you have said come true.” And then the angel left. (NLT)

Consider: What a great way to approach life. How would my life be different if I began each day with this thought/prayer?

Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal. (NIV)

Consider: There is never a time that we shouldn’t trust the Lord. Sorry about the double – negative!
