Exodus 14:15

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.” (NIV)

Consider: God’s People were facing the Red Sea on one side and the enemy on the other. Sometimes, we have to move on, trusting that God knows best – no matter how things appear.

Haggai 2:4

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the Lord. Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land, declares the Lord. Work, for I am with you, declares the Lord of hosts… (ESV)

Consider: Be strong, be strong, be strong… Even when we grow weary of working, we can continue on knowing that God is with us.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! (Amplifed Bible)

Consider: I like the way the Amplified Bible expresses this verse – may you be fresh, and refreshed, today!

Isaiah 9:2

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined. (ESV)

Consider: Jesus was the “great light” while He was here on Earth. Today, we reflect His light to all those we come into contact with.

1 Corinthians 11:1

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. (NIV)

Consider: Can we say this to those we come into contact with every day?

John 1:9

The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. (ESV)

Consider: Today, we can  help others realize where the true light comes from.

Job 38:18-20

Do you realize the extent of the earth? Tell me about it if you know! “Where does light come from, and where does darkness go? Can you take each to its home? Do you know how to get there? (NLT)

Consider: Even with all of our technology and scientific advancements, God is still so far beyond us. How can we not trust Him?

Psalm 147:1

Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting. (ESV)

Consider: How simple and true – a song of praise is fitting for the Lord!

1 Peter 1:7

These [trials] have come so that your faith — of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire — may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. (NIV)

Consider: When trials enter my life, do they result in praise, glory, and honor to God – or is it more like griping, complaining, and anger?

John 12:46

I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. (ESV)

Consider: Too many times, we try to have it both ways – live in the light and remain in the darkness, but that’s not an option.
