Mark 6:30-32

Thoughts: Sometimes we just have to get alone and rest. Give yourself permission to do so.

1 John 4:18

Perfect love expels all fear. (NLT)

Thoughts: Christians don’t have to be ruled or dominated by fear because God’s perfect love is alive inside them.

Ephesians 4:28

Those who are stealing must stop stealing and start working. They should earn an honest living for themselves. Then they will have something to share with those who are poor. (NCV)

Thoughts: When we are able to share what we’ve earned ourselves, God blesses us and those we give to.

Psalm 89:1

I will sing of the tender mercies of the LORD forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. (NLT)

Thoughts: God is not only merciful, but His mercy towards us is tender and full of compassion.

Amos 5:8

It is the LORD who created the stars, the Pleiades and Orion. It is he who turns darkness into morning and day into night. It is he who draws up water from the oceans and pours it down as rain on the land. The LORD is his name! (NLT)

Thoughts: When you’re wondering who to trust, who to turn to, in a time of need. Go to the One who made the stars and the oceans! Trust the Lord.

Proverbs 27:2

Don’t praise yourself; let others do it! (NLT)

Thoughts: It means more when others “brag” on us.

Deuteronomy 5:32

So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. (NIV)

Thoughts: As we start a new week, remember to not “brush aside” the things the Lord has spoken through His word.

Isaiah 55:7

Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. (NIV)

Thoughts: God will freely pardon any of us, but we must take the first step and turn to Him.

John 3:17

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (NIV)

Thoughts: Remember that Jesus’ purpose is not to condemn you, but to save you.

Jeremiah 9:24

…but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord. (ESV)

Thoughts: We should make sure that we delight in the same things that God delights in.
